Opened in 2001, this casually elegant restaurant celebrates the best of Mexican food and drink. Located just minutes west of DFW Airport, the Southlake eatery "feels expansive in its own Southwest-style building. That atmosphere makes an elegant transition inside, where sandstone walls form a natural cocoon accented with decorative iron."

While the atmosphere is top notch, the food more than matches it. Diners sometimes experience a short wait, but the bar area is spacious and inviting. The bartender will be happy to pour you a cool glass of iced tea, or offer you a Mexican Mama, a frozen margarita swirled with Sangria and Chambord.

The extensive menu features an abundance of Tex-Mex favorites, as well as unique chicken and seafood specialties. "Anamia's strength shows in the entrees," according to The Fort Worth Weekly. Try the Pechuga Primavera if you are in the mood for chicken with freshly grilled vegetables, or Enchiladas de Mole if you want a mouth-watering classic.
